I am an older person who is trying to get fit after years of little to no exercise. When I started working out on my own, I injured myself which led to trying out a personal trainer.

Kristy has been a godsend. She worked with my physiotherapist to set up an exercise program for me. She then took the initiative to find other assessment tools to further fine tune the program. Kristy schedules regular assessments to measure progress. She is careful to make sure that I maintaining proper posture and using the right muscles while I am working out and pushes me just the right amount so that I am improving but not injuring myself. Lastly she does all this with a positive encouraging attitude, sticking by me when I have set backs. "

"Kristy has been my personal trainer since February of 2010.   At that point I had limited experience with personal trainers, and had not been actively involved in fitness/exercise programs for many years.  Kristy did a very thorough interview (1 hour) and series of tests (two 1.5 hour sessions) with me to determine my level of fitness and my goals.  Over the year I have worked with her (usually weekly sessions), she has created new, more challenging programs for me approximately every 6 weeks.   She has introduced me to equipment and techniques.  She has provided me with nutrition and supplement advice.   She has persuaded me to set new goals and timelines and encouraged me to meet them.  I find Kristy an excellent motivator.

My fitness level has gone from what I would call not very good (typical middle aged office worker, difficulty completing a 5k and poor muscle tone) to very good (I can easily run 45-60 minutes, have increased my overhead lifts by 15 lbs, have good muscle tone and greatly improved core, upper and lower body strength).

Because I am confident that Kristy Belanger's abilities, I have recently asked her to work with my 17-year old son, who is quite fit but needs to train different muscle groups so that he can play rugby this spring with less chance of injury. "

I am 72 years old and a couple of years ago I had an excessive amount of stress in my life and to compound matters I became ill and had to have surgery. At the same time I lost my son. "I'm 45 and have been training since my teen years; weight lifting, running and now triathlons. I came to see Kristy because my off season workouts had become dull leaving me less than motivated in my training. Kristy had put together fun and challenging workouts for me in the past so I knew she could help re-energize my workouts again.

She started by providing me with detailed fitness tests including FMS screening and a great full body endurance workout. Although I was a little disappointed to see that I had lost some of the stamina I had gained from the previous year I wasn't given much time to dwell on it.
